Oldham CDC – Endoscopy Building

The Challenge

The Salmonfields Community Diagnostic Centre required a new endoscopy facility to support the NHS national programme aimed at increasing diagnostic capacity and reducing waiting times. The project demanded highly reliable electrical infrastructure, strict compliance with HTM standards, and seamless integration with existing NHS systems.

Works were delivered within a live healthcare environment, requiring careful sequencing, infection control awareness, and coordination with specialist equipment suppliers.

Project Goals

  • Deliver fully compliant electrical and life safety systems aligned with HTM standards

  • Integrate communications, alarms, and renewable technologies within a clinical setting

  • Ensure seamless coordination with mechanical services and specialist equipment

  • Provide a resilient, future-ready infrastructure supporting endoscopy operations

The Result

AC Group successfully delivered a fully coordinated installation across electrical, communications, life safety, and renewable systems.

The facility now benefits from robust essential and non-essential power systems, high-quality containment, and infection-control compliant installations. Careful coordination ensured seamless integration with specialist clinical equipment, supporting safe and efficient endoscopy procedures.

The completed building enhances diagnostic capacity while providing a reliable, compliant, and future-proof healthcare environment.
