Stepping Hill Hospital – Outpatient Building
The Challenge
Stepping Hill Hospital required the delivery of a new modular outpatient facility to support increasing patient demand and improve clinical capacity. The project formed part of a wider investment programme by Stockport NHS Foundation Trust to modernise healthcare infrastructure and enhance patient experience.
The works demanded the installation of complex electrical and life safety systems within a fast-paced construction programme, requiring close coordination with modular construction processes, mechanical services, and clinical requirements. All systems needed to meet strict healthcare compliance standards while ensuring long-term operational reliability.
Project Goals
The Result
The project was successfully delivered, providing a high-quality outpatient facility equipped with a fully integrated electrical, data, and life safety infrastructure.
AC Group installed a comprehensive electrical system, supported by coordinated data and communications networks and critical alarm systems designed specifically for clinical environments. Early engagement through design workshops enabled effective coordination, minimising clashes and ensuring a smooth installation process.
The completed facility now provides a resilient, compliant, and future-ready healthcare environment, supporting the Trust’s ongoing commitment to delivering efficient and patient-focused care.
